Route from Colombo

To reach Mirissa Beach from Bastian Mawatha Bus Stand in Colombo, you have two main options. If you prefer a scenic route along the coast, you can take Bus Route 02, which travels along Galle Road from Colombo to Matara. This journey will take around 4.5 hours, and you can get off directly at Mirissa.

However, for a faster trip, you can opt for an express bus via the Southern Expressway (E01) to Matara. This route typically takes about 2 hours. Once you reach Matara, you can catch another bus heading towards Galle and get off at Mirissa, which is approximately 11.5 km from Matara. Whether you take the coastal road or the expressway, reaching Mirissa is straightforward, and the journey offers beautiful views as you approach the southern coast of Sri Lanka.
