Route from Colombo

To reach Unawatuna Beach from Bastian Mawatha Bus Stand in Colombo, you have a couple of convenient options. If you enjoy a scenic coastal drive, you can take Bus Route 02, which travels along Galle Road from Colombo to Matara. This bus will pass through Galle, and you can get off directly at Unawatuna. The journey typically takes around 3.5 to 4 hours.

Alternatively, for a quicker option, you can catch an express bus via the Southern Expressway (E01) to Galle, which usually takes about 2 to 3 hours. Once you arrive in Galle, you can take a short bus ride or a tuk-tuk to Unawatuna, which is approximately 6 km from Galle. Both routes offer easy access to Unawatuna Beach, allowing you to choose based on your preference for speed or scenery.
